Pre-launch. Nothing is on sale yet.

Safe AI agents. Less busywork. You stay in control.

Bookkeeping where AI does the routine work inside the rules you set, and a person approves the rest. Pick your side:

For accounting firms

Every client in one console: Evenbead for accounting firms

AI agents work under your firm's rules, client by client. Your team reviews the exceptions and closes faster.

  • What needs attention, client by client, in plain words
  • Agents pre-review the close; a person signs off
  • Set exactly who, and which AI, can do what

For businesses

Books that take care of themselves: Evenbead for businesses

Bank lines and receipts are sorted as they arrive. You approve only what's outside your rules.

  • Every bank line categorized, with the reason
  • Receipts read and matched to the bank line
  • Your accountant works in the same books

Illustrations with made-up names and numbers.

FAQ

Straight answers

Can I use Evenbead today?

No. Evenbead is pre-launch. We're talking with accounting firms and picking a few to pilot it. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you when there's something you can try.

What's actually built?

Working today, with automated tests:

  • The ledger: double-entry enforced by the database itself, amounts stored in whole cents, posted entries that can't be edited (only reversed), period locks, and a hash-chained audit log you can verify offline.
  • The agent interface: a REST API and an MCP server with dry-run previews, duplicate-proof writes, approval thresholds, per-agent keys, OAuth for Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini, and the monthly agent audit report.
  • The web app and the firm console, and categorization suggestions from your rules, vendor history and bank categories (suggest-first).

Pilots, built but not yet on live money or real company files: bank feeds run on Plaid's sandbox until Plaid approves our production keys; customer payments run in Stripe test mode until our company is formed; the QuickBooks Desktop and Online migrations with their tie-out report are tested on synthetic files only; self-hosting is a pilot. Coming: AI auto-post (only once measured at 99% precision) and payroll (planned). Every feature, built or coming.

Can I take my books out if I leave?

Yes, any time, on every plan, even a read-only one: a restorable SQL dump, JSONL and Parquet, the audit trail with a verifier, and your receipts. Reading your own data is never metered. Self-hosted and firm-box installs keep the books on your own hardware and make no outbound calls you haven't turned on.

Does my client data go to OpenAI or Anthropic?

Only if you connect an agent that runs there. Evenbead's own suggestions run on machines Evenbead operates, not at an AI company. If your agent is Claude or ChatGPT, what it reads goes to that company, under your agreement with them. If that is not acceptable, run the books and the AI on a machine in your office (option 3, in pilot) and nothing leaves. The same limits apply whichever agent you pick.

Are these prices final?

No. They're proposed prices we're testing with firms. Which option you pick on the waitlist helps us decide. Pilot firms that pay get setup help, and the first 1,000 paying companies get their price locked for three years. Plans for businesses and for firms.

Do agents post on their own?

Only routine entries inside the limits you set for that agent. Anything over its threshold, anything touching equity, a confidence below 0.7, an entry into a soft-locked month, or the first invoice, bill or payment for a new customer or vendor goes to the approval queue instead, and no agent approves its own. Every change records which agent, model and run made it, and who approved it. The rules are published as the Agent Ledger Policy.

What do I need to migrate from QuickBooks Desktop?

A Windows computer with your licensed copy of QuickBooks Desktop and the company file. The export tool uses Intuit's public SDK and runs on your machine. For files without a working QuickBooks install, we plan a hands-on migration service.

What about QuickBooks Online?

An importer for QuickBooks Online is built and tested on synthetic data, using its API and report exports, with a clear list of anything QuickBooks Online doesn't let you export. It hasn't run against a real QuickBooks Online company yet. How a migration works.

Is Evenbead affiliated with Intuit?

No. QuickBooks® is a registered trademark of Intuit Inc.; Evenbead is not affiliated. Evenbead is independent and built clean-room: we don't copy QuickBooks' screens, reports or code.
